The Assembly requests a number of things of George Bampfeild, as the newly-appointed Agent of New York. His endorsement is requested of 2 Acts, one calling for a 2 percent tax on imported goods, and the other one calling for an open shipping line between New York and Connecticut. The Assembly then discusses the conduct of the Treasurer of New York, who they have found guilty of the misapplication of public funds. As a result of this, the Assembly appointed their own Treasurer, and fell into his majesty's disfavor. They therefore request that Bampfeild clear them of all charges of arbitrary and illegal conduct, and help resolve the misapplication of taxes and public moneys.
