Provides a complete printing of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address (page eight), preceded by a full printing of Edward Everett's address, also delivered 19 November 1863 in dedication of the Gettysburg National Cemetery, located in Pennsylvania. Includes articles on women and work, Napoleon III of France, and various Civil War battles among other topics. This newspaper is fragile, with several areas of discoloration and several tears in the creases.
Everett served as United States Representative from Massachusetts 1825-1834, Governor of Massachusetts 1836-1840, Secretary of State 1852-1853, and as Senator 1853-1854.
