Preston King served four terms as a Democratic Congressman from New York, from 1843-1846 and 1849-1852, and one term as a Republican Senator from 1857-1862.
Francis Spinner served as a Congressman from New York from 1855-1860. He ran as a Republican from 1856 onward. He was the Treasurer of the United States from 1861-1875.
