Dear Sam:
The indications are that the U. S. will be at War tomorrow with ?. Now the thing for you to do is to go to Washington & get the appointment as Chaplain to a regiment. Your experience in Cuba will help you - go to my friend Judge Watson & show him this letter. He lives at the Cochron. I leave gere next Saturday for Toronto. Deliver my lecture on Monday evening - attend a dinner the next day. Tuesday ? that I will start back Tuesday night.
