Lt. Col. W. T. Clark AAG; 5. Capt Gile [?] aid de Camp; 6. Capt Hickenlooper, Chief Engineer; 7. Major General McPherson; 8. Major Boncher Medical Director; 9. Capt Steele aid de Camp; 10. Major Willard, aid de camp & Picket officer; 11. Col. Strong, acting Inspector General. McPherson became the only Union Army commander of the war to die in battle--he was killed in the Battle of Atlanta in 1864.
