This image shows the band relaxing. Men sit and stand without their full uniforms. Some wear summer hats. Instruments appear to hang from a tree on the left. The large drum reads "Cornet Band." A note written on the back in ballpoint pen by a later owner indicates that Pitcher is "4th man from right, facing picture [camera]. full beard and mustach - TFS." The image is severely darkened and stained, with insect damage. This image accompanies the diary of Henry F. Pitcher, GLC06889.01.
