Worries about his bank's debt and existing loans, but feels that he can get by. Admits that the bank may soon be terminated since its charter is about to run out. Wishes for instructions on how to act in the face of potential doom. Suggests that in the case of termination, the State banks be used for "the winding up of our affairs."
George Cabot became the President of the Boston Branch of the Bank of the United States in 1803.
Thomas Willing was the first President of the First Bank of the United States, from 1791-1811.
