Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia went out with a collection can for the Spanish Loyalists who have been released from concentration camps in North Africa and are being transported to Mexico for asylum by the Mexican government. Has to be "Rosie the Riveter" and has stage fright. Got a form from the Office of Dependency Benefits requesting another marriage certificate.
