Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia wants to come and see him on the West coast in August. Got home late from seeing "Mission to Moscow." Talks about the Trotsky trials and other events in Soviet history, and that Russia has to protect herself. Tells Moe he knows all of the story from having read the book.
