Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Written 9:30 PM at home by the radio. Sylvia had a special lunch at work because the Administrator is leaving. Afterwards went in the field and then to the M.D.; who says she is alright. Talks about friends and that her sister (Mad) needs to go to Florida for her divorce; but is afraid to do so.
