At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 70,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World to soldiers’ letters from World War II and Vietnam. Summary of Content: Moe received Sylvia's telegram confirming her arrival in New York. He went to Seattle for the weekend with Frank Mooney. At one point, while they were there he was reminded of Chinatown in New York. He also went to Jefferson Park, a recreation camp run by the army.
