Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe tells Sylvia throughout the letter not to worry about him, for there is no reason to worry, and responds to various letters. He says the Chinese food she had can't be as bad as the Chinese food they had in England. He also says she should have gotten her suit somewhere else.
