Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe says he came home to find his name on the roster for all night detail. He says he is glad the cold weather has not prevented his father from getting around, and notes that the mail is slow lately. He thinks Spring must be on the way because he saw people digging in their gardens.
