One letter from Aunt Jessie to Leonard Graeff, dated October 12, 1943. Leonard's Aunt Jessie hopes that he is doing well at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station. She says the kids are doing well. They got a cocker spaniel puppy that is now thirteen weeks old. She also shares that the bounty they harvested from the garden this year totaled to 95 quarts of fruits and vegetables, as well as jams, jellies, two large pumpkins and 4 gallons of sauerkraut.
