He criticizes The New York Times for selective reporting on previous issues such as the Bay of Pigs, 1964 elections, Bobby Kennedy's wiretaps, Clark Clifford's handling of the DuPoint General Motors deal, Billy Sol Estes, Bobby Baker and Television Enfranchisement in Texas. He states, Suppose you are successful in your attempt to smear and impeach? Have you not reversed the landslide ELECTION by the American PEOPLE? Can we really have a successful COUP in this Country? Media Coup instead of Military? THE UNITED STATES A BANANA REPUBLIC????????"
