Addressed to "Dad + Bee." A brief note with very little news except that he is exhausted as they have been flying all hours of the day in order to get their minimums.

The letter is dated "Tuesday." "Letters in a Box" notes the date as December 28, 1943.

Robert "Bob" Stone was a Bombardier in World War II and served in the Pacific Front. These letters, were compiled by Bob's wife, Sheila M. Stone, and Ali Adair into a book named Letters in a Box. This book details Bob's service to his country, and his life after the war. Bob's letters were donated to the collection by his wife, Sheila M. Stone, in 2017. It contains a variety of letters, postcards, patches, pins, photographs, and scrapbooks that relate to Bob's training and combat missions.

Tuesday
Dear Dad & Bee -
No particular news since I wrote two days ago. Today we're supposedly on pass but I'm so tired that I'm going to stay right on the post. Think I'll get a little sun at the pool this afternoon.
This past week we've been flying all hours of the day. They are trying to get in all our flying minimums as soon as possible.
Enclosed are a few snaps that I've had for some time. They're not too good but I thought you might like having them.
Write often.
All love -
Bobby
