Addressed to "Dad." He enclosed an insurance slip for his good watch that he just sent home and it needs some work to be done. He has another watch so there is no rush in getting it back.

The letter is not dated, but the reciept enclosed is dated July 3, 1944. "Letters in a Box" notes the letter was written on July 3, 1944.

Robert "Bob" Stone was a Bombardier in World War II and served in the Pacific Front. These letters, were compiled by Bob's wife, Sheila M. Stone, and Ali Adair into a book named Letters in a Box. Dear Dad -
Enclosed is an insurance slip for my good watch which I sent home. It has been losing alot of time every day and I wish you would take it to a good jeweler for an overhaul. I haven't had anything done to it in over two years and perhaps it needs to be cleaned.
I have another issued wrist watch so there's no hurry on it. Maybe I ought to have you keep it for me anyway. I'll write you later if I want it.
Must run now.
All love -
Bobby
