One trading card from the Red Menace collection, "17. War in Malaya" depicting an attack taking place in Malaya, a tropical environment. Reverse side contains propaganda narrative referring to communism taking place in Malaya, drawing parrallel to the conflict between United Nations, China, North and South Korea. Text also claims that "People in Malaya are uniting against the Red Menace, which tries to divide and conquer."
Malaya was involved in a guerrilla war that lasted 12 years from June 16, 1948 to July 12, 1960. This was an attempt to liberate from British Rule. The colonial government referred to this event as the Malayan Emergency.
