One wirephoto published by Associated Press dated October 125, 1974. Depicts a handcuffed James Earl Ray leaving the federal court building in Memphis, Tennessee. He is clutching a manila envelope. He was present at the court to testify against his alleged coerced confession of the assassination of Dr. King. He is seeking a new trial for the murder. Ultimately, his sentence of 99 years in prison is upheld.
