One booklet entitled "A Short Guide to Iraq" dated 1943. Published on behalf of the War And Navy Departments. Guide contains thirteen sections providing information to an American Soldier that was deployed to Iraq during World War II. The information is to provide background and prevent any difficulties the soldier might have. The sections are; Introduction, What is This Iraq? Meet the People, The Country, The Moslems, Iraqi Customs and Manners, The Language, Climate and Health, Currency, Weights and Mesures, Some Important Do's and Don'ts, Hints on Pronouncing Arabic, Useful Words and Phrases, a Glossery.
