One letter from Gerald Handy to Donna Lawyer dated August 22, 1969. He writes in an explicit letter how much he loves her and assures her that he continues to want her. He admonishes her to talk to him if she isn't confident of his love so he can reassure her. He also mentions that a friend Steve Wallaber is dead as a result of an event with another friend Kevin Pangman. He mentions guard duty and maybe going to Japan or Thailand on his next leave. He addresses the letter to Donna Handy despite their not being married.
