Originally from Connecticut, Dan is in his sixth year as a secondary school educator. Currently he is teaching 11th Grade Humanities (ancient history & literature) at Olney Friends, a Quaker college preparatory boarding school in Ohio. Previously he taught 8th Grade U.S. History at Link Community School, a private, non-profit inner city school in Newark, NJ. Link is dedicated to preparing low-income middle school students for college preparatory high schools. As an undergraduate, he concentrated on U. S. History at Connecticut College where he also studied European, African, Indian, Middle Eastern and Korean history. In graduate school, his focus was on ancient history, philosophy and literature of the western world through the Great Books master’s program at St. John’s College.
