Gives a report on the situation in America. Mentions Quakers and people who "also seem to think their ale is at stake." States that "Col. Washington is gone to New York..." possibly involved in the attack at Fort DuQuesne. Gilt edges. Watermarked with a crest, a symbol that looks like a 4 and the letters SCI.
George Washington gained command experience during the French and Indian War, first as a colonel under General Edward Braddock to take Fort Duquesne in Pittsburgh, then as a commander at Braddocks Field, when Braddock was fatally injured.
