Nellie writes she flew through a storm leaving Rome, and it was a turbulent ride. In Venice, Nellie bought crystals to replace the ones lost earlier in the trip. She went on an early morning boat tour, went to the market, and saw a procession in St. Mark's Square. Nellie comments in awe on the amount of international trade and foreign boats.
