One black and white photograph entitled, "Shortly Before His Arrested," taken by UPI dated April 6, 1971. Image is of Rev. Ralph Abernathy speaking to someone off camera. On the reverse side is a typed note, which details that Abernathy and 44 protestors were arrested during a sit-in in the lobby of the Graybar Building. The protest was for fair employment practices at A&P Company, demanding that Black people be given the opportunity to be in management positions, as well as, for the company to invest more money in Black neighborhoods.
