Thank You for Starting Your Application

PaceUniv@pace.edu will send an email to the email address associated with your Gilder Lehrman Institute account. That email will include a link to continue your application. You will be prompted to create a separate account for the Pace University website. If you do not receive an email from Pace within one hour, contact the university at gli@pace.edu.

You will need the following materials to complete your application:

  • Transcripts: You must provide an official transcript from ALL post-secondary institutions attended, including the institution that granted your bachelor’s degree. There are instructions for how to submit hard copies and digital copies on the Pace University application page.

NOTE: For the Fall 2018 semester ONLY, you may submit unofficial transcripts as part of your application. However, if you are accepted into the program, you must submit official transcripts for all post-secondary institutions by October 24, 2018, in order to maintain your status for the Fall 2018 semester and register for Spring 2019 courses.

  • A Gilder Lehrman Letter of Affiliation (donwloadable on the previous screen)
  • A Letter of Intent: In one to two pages, explain who you are, why you are applying to this program, and why you would be a valuable addition to the program.
  • An Up-to-date Resume
  • If your bachelor’s degree is from a non-English-speaking college, you must take the TOEFL iBT Test and achieve a score of at least 88.

NOTE: If you have taken the TOEFL within the last two years, and passed with a score of at least 88, you can submit this score in lieu of retaking the TOEFL.

Once your application is complete, Pace University will process it on a rolling basis. After you receive notification of acceptance, you will be able to register for Fall 2018 courses. You may review Current Courses here.
