Kansas Professional Development: Explorers and Exploration in Early American History

The Gilder Lehrman Institute is pleased to invite Grade 3–5 teachers in Kansas to participate in a free 2-hour professional development workshop on Explorers and Exploration in Early America. The session will feature a 45-minute lecture and 15-minute Q&A with Professor Peter Mancall (University of Southern California) followed by a 1-hour pedagogy session with Master Teacher Connie Fink.

Workshop participants will receive a $50 stipend and a free copy of The Trials of Thomas Morton: An Anglican Lawyer, His Puritan Foes, and the Battle for a New England by Peter Mancall. Please note that stipends and books will be sent to the addresses entered at registration.
