Kansas Professional Development: 20th-Century Native American History for Elementary School Teachers

The Gilder Lehrman Institute is pleased to invite Grade 3–5 teachers in Kansas to participate in a free 2-hour professional development workshop on 20th-Century Native American History. The session will feature a 45-minute lecture and 15-minute Q&A with Dr. Joseph Bruchac followed by a 1-hour pedagogy session with Master Teacher Saudah Collins.

Workshop participants will receive a $50 stipend and a free copy of Peacemaker by Joseph Bruchac, a historical children’s novel. Please note that books and stipends will be sent to the addresses entered at registration.
