Widener University–Gilder Lehrman Institute History Scholarship

The Gilder Lehrman Institute and Widener University are pleased to offer the Widener University–Gilder Lehrman Institute History Scholarship. Each year, Widener University will provide two scholarships at $5,000 per year for four years (assuming continued eligibility). Students may also elect to intern at historical and cultural organizations for course credit twice during their undergraduate years. The internship opportunities are designed jointly by history faculty and students.

Full-time undergraduate students eligible for admission to the university and majoring or minoring in History, or majoring in Education or Political Science at Widener. Although not required, preference for the scholarship award will be given to students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged or first-generation students.
