The Palms-Rancho Park Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library will host a panel discussion to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. Discussants will include Alma Moore Stevenson, UCLA Librarian; Larry Earl, Director of the Mayme Clayton Museum; Arthur Rolston, Lecturer, UCLA History Department; and Analena Hope, PhD Candidate, USC American Studies Department. This event is part of the Los Angeles Public Library’s Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle programming series.
