Martin Memorial Library will host a panel discussion about the Williamston Freedom Movement, an interesting moment in Civil Rights history in Williamston, North Carolina. Amanda Smith, author of a soon-to-be-published nonfiction book chronicling local protests and demonstrations that are called the Williamston Freedom Movement, will be a featured panelist at this event. This event is part of Martin Memorial Library’s Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle public programming series.
