re: collection of a debt from Mr. Brock of Catonville

Baltimore 30th March 1822
Sir
I hashty [sic] acknowledged yesterday the receipt of your letter of the 28 instant & request you to make Brock's [struck] note $ 84 being the balance of interest due Nov. last on his bond inclosed [sic] which I have cancelled by tearing off the seal and which I desire you to deliver to Mr. Brock when you go to Catonville [sic] to make his note; if Mr. Brock will pay the $ 84 you had better make the cash than his note.
½ hour past one o'clock I have just got yr. letter given the information communicated to you by Mr. Sean whom I shall be glad to see when he comes to town on Monday or Tuesday I am pleased to hear all are well on the Manor. I am Sir yr. hum. Servt.
