Published by Kurz & Allison at 76 & 78 Wabash Avenue in Chicago. Pristine color image shows victorious Union charge over either Shy's or Overton's Hills. Demoralized and wounded Confederates are shown retreating, while white Union calvarymen attack Confederates in the foreground and black infantrymen, led by a white officer holding an American flag, crest the hill to take the Southern artillery pieces. Several Confederate soldiers are waving white flags of surrender. Very slight wear.
