Anna M. Hall thanks an unnamed woman author for sending her book on female education. Hall feels there is currently no system of education in England, and the ideas the author espouses are much needed by the women of England. She thinks the author is wrong to elevate drawing over music, as music has given Hall much solace. Written on her Old Brompton letterhead. Possibly written near Alexandria, Virginia.
