Partially printed pass allowing Private G.R. LeMournier Jr., Orleans, to return home after taking an oath to not take up arms against the United States. In accordance with the terms of Confederate General Joseph E. Johnston's surrender of the Army of Tennessee to Union General William T. Sherman on 26 April 1865. Signed by Stewart as Lieutenant General, C.S.A., and Francis (?) Dow, Major, U.S.A. With notes and docket on verso.
