Awarded for "gallant and meritorious services at the Battle of Cool Arbor [sic], Virginia." Mistake for Cold Harbor. Docketed at top by Edward D. Townsend as Assistant Adjutant General, note reads "Recorded Volume 5 page 34 Adjutant General's Office August 20, 1866". Features a paper seal from the Office of War and two detailed patriotic scenes.
