Discusses Colonel Newman's request for supplies and supply issues more generally. Also comments on the movements of a few regiments. With a brief postscript noting supplies taken by Major J. L. Brown. Zollicoffer was a brigadier general in the Confederate Army. Tazwell, a Tennessee state senator, served as Colonel of the 17th Tennessee Regiment.
