Receipt to the Committee of War in Rhode Island for payment of Peter Bateman's wages as a soldier in Major Burkett's Company. Directs that the 16 shilling New York currency payment to be made to Cornelius Culnon and to "Deduct the same out of the Wages first due to me." Signed by Bateman, but document appears to have been written by Andrew Leishman.
