Bradstreet, a British officer, orders Abraham W. Cortin, a temporary deputy paymaster general, to make the payment, which was owed for "Sundries supplied for His Majesty's service" during the French and Indian War. A note signed by Livingston below the order states that the payment should be made to Dirck Jansen. A note signed my Jansen on the verso indicates the payment was received on 8 August 1759.
