Writes, "The General desires you will find him an exact return of the firearms and accoutrements at West Point, under the care of the Comy Mil. Stores [Commissary of Military Stores], specifying particularly the number which have bayonets, and distinguishing the good from the bad. The General will be glad to receive this return as early tomorrow as possible."
