Written by William Hawes, a Captain of Artificers. Mentions that he called on Knox while in Philadelphia, but Knox had already proceeded on to West Point. As part of his instructions, he is to bring Knox any articles he needs. Reports on the progress of the construction of the magazine, as well as the use of leather for harnesses and pouches.
