Order issued by Captain Lillie, an aide-de-camp to Major General Knox, telling West Point Commissary Bell to deliver a half-gallon of country rum "or the value of it in Spirits or brandy" for the use of the Knox family. Docket is signed by a Tolberz, who used an "X" for his mark, stating that brandy was received.
