Knox writes to Greene, widow of Nathanael Greene. He discusses arrangements made for her son, George Washington Greene, to sail to France by packet. Notes that Mr [Joel] Barlow will attend to George on the packet and will place him under the care of the Marquis de Lafayette in Paris. Knox notes, "While I heartily approve the plan I participate sincerely in the sensations you must experience on this interesting occasion."
