Writes, "Mr. Walter Livingston cannot permit general Knox to be disappointed in not getting the home on account of the Rent. Mr. Livingston will build the stable, Paint and paper the second & third stories and general Knox shall have the House at the price he supposed he had engaged it on Wednesday last viz. L260 specie and taxes."
