Mrs. Beaumez writes her niece Lucy Knox. She says her last letter were "dismal" because here "health and spirits were bad." Now they are well. She speaks of missing her children back in America, of what she hears from them, and of the little gifts she has sent to her family there. Mrs. Beaumez says she will soon be traveling to the country 100 miles from Calcutta.
