Written near Corinth, Mississippi. Fagan, Colonel commanding the 1st Arkansas Regiment, writes to Ruggles, commanding the 2nd Division, Army of Mississippi. Relates that General Braxton Bragg, commander of 2nd Corps, Army of the Mississippi, ordered Fagan to move his regiment to join other regiments forming the 1st Brigade of Ruggles's division, and to assume command of the brigade. Orders reflect preparation for operations against Corinth. One bust engraving of Fagan included as collateral.
