Possibly to John Henninger Reagan, a former Texas Representative who served several posts in the Confederate Government. Relates that a Dr. [Work?] plans to leave Washington, D.C., for Montgomery, Alabama, and that he desires work in the confederate government. Writes "You know him well & I have no doubt that you will do all in your power for him, I do not know what places are to be filled."
