Winthrop sends news of John and Mary Livingston's [having wed in April 1701] arrival to New London with Samuel Vetch on the 7th of June, on their way to their trading mission in Canada. Winthrop states "[I] hope you did well understand [their plan] well before hand and I wish it had been contrived that by an Indian or other wayes wee might have heard of their Arrivall."
