Douglas writes that he sold some shroud to Philip's father and sister, and he suggests that Philip sell their blankets and duffel to the Commissioners in charge of the upcoming expedition to Canada. He also notifies Philip of his decision to accompany Samuel Vetch on the expedition, and orders all of his goods and property to be remitted to his brother James Douglas if he dies.
