Written aboard the USS Brandywine by Lieutenant Gregory two days after he relinquished command of the "Brandywine" to Judge Advocate General Coxe. Says he is transmitting to Coxe the interrogations and the answers to them that he got from the Navy Department. Part of address leaf has been torn away. Four small pieces of tape are attached to verso.
